The drop determine how far your tablecloth hang down from the table surface.
Most dining room tablecloths have a drop length between 15-30 cm. (6 – 12 inches), no further than to the diner’s laps. A more formal dining tablecloth may reach all the way to the ground, as will a tablecloth intended to hide unattractive table legs.
A good tip to help you visualise which drop length you prefer, hold a piece of fabric or paper hanging downward from the table’s edge. Place your chairs and other nearby furniture objects where they would be located on occasions when you would use this tablecloth.
The hem prevent the tablecloth fabric to unravelling. There are many different styles of hems of varying complexities. We offer the most common hems Overlock and fold ups in various sizes 1cm, 2.5cm (1″) 5cm and 10cm . The style of hemming thus completely encloses the cut edge in the fabric, so that it cannot unravel.
Our tablecloth corners are made either round or square corners. A round corner will give the tablecloth an equal edges all around the table. With square corners your tablecloth will be longer in the corners and with a long drop there is a chance your tablecloth will be draping the floor. If you choose round corners, only overlock finish is possible.
If your custom made tablecloth is wider/longer that the width of the fabric rolls there will be a join.
By default, the join of choice is the French-style type which ensures minimal bulge. The join will, in most cases, be placed on the side of the tablecloth to hang with the drop. In some cases, the join may have to be placed in the middle of the tablecloth. Occasionally, more than one join may be necessary.
